Brittany York graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with her B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise in 2010. During her free time as an undergraduate student, Brittany worked for Richmond City Public Schools, serving students in elementary and middle schools. These experiences led her to pursue full-time work within the school district after graduation, before moving to Georgia. There, Brittany earned an M.A.T. in TESOL from the University of Georgia in 2018 and taught in the metro-Atlanta area. Brittany relocated to the DMV area to take part in developing the WIDA Assessment (ACCESS for ELLs) as a Language Testing Specialist at CAL.
